Yeah, the Wraith brings a completely new dimension to the game.
The video doesn't show the Abuction ability that can grab a medic or trapper and yank them a hundred metres away - it's an awesome skill but isn't useful in the all-out Defence mode!
I hope Telltale doesn't take on too much, like they used to. TWD was so great because they had time to really polish it.
Don't get be wrong, TWAU was amazing and the first episodes of Borderlands and GoT are very promising, but it's possible to have too much of a good thing and spread yourself thing.
Agreed. This would have been one of my most anticipated games if it was coming out as a Steam download for around £15-25, but it's a big ask at £30-40 on the new consoles.
Not convinced about Esports though. Watching a monster run away and eat stuff is pretty boring - tbh I'd rather watch a slow game of baseball. Key with an Esport is that it has to be engaging and enjoyable for the audience, and Evolve isn't even consistently engaging for players since ...
Breaking news: Michael Pachter makes educated guesses for a living.
Wait, sorry, why is that news?
I do agree with you -- I hate naming conventions like this, another example being Ubisoft's 'limited editions' that just include pre-order DLC. But...for a penny I'm not hugely bothered.
And then nobody cared or talked about it ever again. The end.
Top men are working on it now. Top... men.
That's actually ridiculous. It works - not sure but it might not matter where in the world you are since XBL codes are region free.
Last day before Christmas postage too.
Thankfully the latest Halo MCC patch gets things working pretty well, otherwise this could have been called the 'Broken Bundle!'
Heh, more like "Ass Creed"... oh, wait. Yeah.
It's just an iOS spinoff.
To be honest I tend to take anything Techland shows/says with a pinch of salt. They're passionate devs who love making games, but Call Of Juarez Gunslinger was the only genuinely great game they've made in years IMO, while Dead Island was oversold by that trailer and everything else has been shonky, recycled or plain terrible.
Not holding out much hope for Dying Light or Hellraid at all. If they end up being pretty decent I'll be pleasantly surprised and delighted...
Nice to read an article about the joy of games in amongst all the scandal-mongering and doom-slinging we usually see in headlines these days.
OutRun was my happy place, as was Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future.
Pedantic but I like it! Still, there's a case to be made that 'blockbuster titles' aren't really forthcoming on either the PS4 or Xbox One as yet, despite a stronger exclusive showing on Microsoft's machine as of Christmas 2014.
@Cobra951: Whoops, I've updated my comment. Thanks!
On topic: I'd also like to point out that most MMORPGs handle loot, progression and even story in much more satisfying and meaningful ways. Comparing Destiny to other MMOs actually makes it look worse, not better.
"I wonder what further drops the January sales will bring?"
Heh, good point. Hopefully some more choice bundles, though I reckon that the price will actually normalise and bundles will get less competitive once the big hitters like Bloodborne hit shelves and demand spikes again.
But Destiny is not an MMO. With respect, I'm getting surprised at so many people defending it as such. Beyond a few guardians dancing in the tower, there's nothing "massive" (remember, the first M stands for Massively) about Destiny at all - 6 player raids? Conventional 12-player MP? Occasionally bumping into a randomer and not having the emotes to communicate properly?
Destiny is a shooter with always-online DRM. IMO it deserves to be held up to the same st...
@FuzzyPixels: Agreed, though I'd actually like to see Nintendo getting more proactive on the bundle front. Where was the official Smash Wii U bundle with a set of Amiibos and carry case? You'll find the occasional rather silly bundle on the store, but they really ought to be making the most of what is actually the strongest new-gen games library.
Heh, I suppose it could be both. The end justifies the motive and means!
Not to mention copying the achievement system etc. Adapting is never a bad thing - at least, so long as you do it in a way that benefits gamers as a result (even if it isn't the primary goal).
Haha, you'll have time to sort out an overdraft while their servers are recovering!
